Tempest Bibs are wet-weather workwear for demanding farm use. The Dual Tough construction uses double-ripstop fabric and waterproof, breathable layers to balance durability with comfort.

Why choose Tempest

Tempest is designed around sustained rural work, using a Double Ripstop outer with the manufacturer’s Dual Tough waterproof, breathable construction. It is a different proposition from a light emergency layer carried for occasional showers: the emphasis is on repeat use around the farm.

Choosing coverage and fit

Waist-height overtrousers and bibs provide different coverage. Choose the style that suits the job and allow for the trousers or insulation you intend to wear underneath. Consult the body chart for the relevant men’s or women’s listing; sizes are not interchangeable between the two fits.

Keeping the fabric performing

Remove surface contamination and dry the item before storage. Water beading at the surface depends on the water-repellent treatment. If it begins to wet out, follow the garment label and compatible reproofing guidance instead of using fabric conditioner.

Looking after your gear

Follow the sewn-in care label. Close zips before washing; use a small amount of unscented liquid detergent. Avoid fabric softener, bleach and powder detergent. Let the garment dry fully before storage. Refresh the water-repellent finish when water stops beading, using a compatible treatment and the label’s drying instructions.
