Guardian Overtrousers are a technical waterproof layer for exposed hills and multi-day trips. Three-layer WeathaTech Flex fabric combines a durable ripstop construction with stretch and breathability.
Stretch and protection for demanding ground.
Sealed seams protect the stitching, while shaped knees and a gusset allow movement over rough ground. Long leg zips help with changing over boots, and reinforced inner ankles guard against abrasion.

WeathaTech Flex construction
A three-layer membrane fabric pairs a ripstop face with stretch and breathability. The manufacturer identifies a 150D T800 polyester ripstop outer: intended to balance resistance to wear with freedom of movement on longer trips. Fully sealed seams support the waterproof construction.
Understanding the performance figures
The detailed manufacturer panel distinguishes a 10,000 mm minimum garment rating from a 20,000 mm maximum fabric result. Its breathability figure is 30,000 g/m² over 24 hours under the quoted test. These are different measurements, so the waterproof and breathability figures should not be compared as though they describe the same property.
For active use over changing terrain
The Guardian range is aimed at people carrying protective outer layers into demanding country. Fit should allow your planned insulation underneath without restricting movement. Pairing the jacket and overtrousers provides a matching system, but each item is sold separately.
