The Husqvarna 525HE3 is a petrol-powered pole hedge trimmer built for professional use. It has a 25.4 cm³ X-Torq® engine, a 60 cm cutter bar with 30 mm teeth opening and a high knife speed (4,400 cuts/min). With an effective reach of up to 3 metres and a durable 135° angle adjustment, the machine is well balanced — the engine acts as a counterweight — and is intended to reduce fatigue when working on tall and low hedges. It includes Smart Start® features, an air purge for easier starting and an auto-return stop switch for trouble-free restarts.

The X-Torq® 25.4 cm³ engine gives a broad spread of torque for consistent cutting performance across the rpm range. Practical where you meet varying branch thicknesses and need reliable power on long jobs.
Long reach with adjustable cutter angle
Up to 3 metres reach combined with a 135° adjustable cutter bar lets you trim both tall hedges and low margins without excessive repositioning. Saves time on site and reduces ladder use.
High cutting speed and sizeable blade

Will this fit my machine?

What servicing should I do before first use?
Check that the cutter bar is secure, verify the spark plug type (Husqvarna HQT-2) is fitted and that the fuel tank (0.5 l) has fresh petrol. Inspect air intake and follow the operator manual for the initial service intervals. As an installer I would also verify the starter cord operation and the air purge function before handing over.
How do I set the machine for high or low hedges?
Use the 135° angle adjustment on the cutter bar to position the blade for the work required. The pole and reach let you work up to about 3 metres; for transport or storage fold the cutter into transport mode (length in transport mode 126.6 cm).
Is it suitable for full-day professional use?
Yes. It is specified for professional users: lightweight for a pole machine (5.9 kg), robust engine design and features that reduce starting problems. Be aware of vibration levels (front handle 5.6 m/s², rear 4.4 m/s²) and sound levels (96 dB(A) at operator’s ear, 107 dB(A) guaranteed) — use appropriate PPE and schedule breaks to manage vibration exposure.
