The Husqvarna 525LK is a lightweight petrol-powered trimmer engine unit designed for commercial use. It is a combination machine: the engine/shaft unit is supplied ready to accept a range of click-on attachments (sold separately). As an installer, I recommend this model where you need a compact, serviceable powerhead that breaks down for transport and handles a variety of cutting tasks.

The X-Torq® engine delivers increased torque across a wider rpm range for reliable cutting performance. That makes the unit responsive under load, useful when you switch between trimming and heavier vegetation work.

Easy starting and reliable ignition

Smart Start® design combined with an air purge and an auto-return stop switch keeps starts straightforward. The air purge clears carburettor air for quicker first pulls and the stop switch resets automatically to ON for trouble-free re-starts.

Detachable shaft for transport and storage

The shaft breaks down quickly for safer transport and compact storage. That helps when moving between jobs or carrying the unit in confined vans.

Will this fit my machine?

What is supplied in the box?

You receive the 525LK trimmer engine unit only. Cutting attachments (trimmer head, grass blade, saw blade) and a harness are not included and must be purchased separately.

Can I use attachments with this unit and how are they fitted?

Yes. The 525LK is a combination machine with a click-on attachment system that allows quick tool-free swapping of compatible Husqvarna attachments. Use genuine Husqvarna attachments and follow the attachment instructions in the user manual for correct fitting and safe operation.

How easy is it to carry and start the machine on site?

The dry weight is 4.5 kg (excluding cutting equipment). The shaft detaches for transport and storage. Starting is simplified by Smart Start®, an air purge to remove air from the fuel system, and an auto-return stop switch that resets to ON for easy re-starting.
