Automower® 535 AWD EPOS® is developed for challenging areas in professional turf care — steep slopes, uneven ground, rough terrain and multiple scattered work areas. The AWD system controls each wheel for traction and stability, while the articulated rear body improves manoeuvrability.
You can install it wire-free using EPOS® (virtual boundaries with ~2 cm accuracy) or run it with physical wire if your site demands it. Manage zones, cutting height and patterns, and add temporary stay-out areas via Husqvarna Fleet Services™.

Installation and what you need
Option A: Wire-free (EPOS® virtual boundaries)
- Define boundaries, work areas, transport paths and stay-out zones in the app.
- EPOS® RS5 Reference Station is required for wire-free operation (not included).
- Best performance with a clear view of the sky across the mowing area (stable satellite positioning).
- Ideal when you expect boundary changes, multiple zones, or frequent temporary restrictions.
Option B: Physical wire (traditional boundary)
- Install boundary wire (and guide wire(s) if required) to define the mowing area.
- Useful where satellite conditions are limited or where you prefer a fixed perimeter.
- Requires an installation kit (wire, pegs, connectors) — typically sold separately.

Is this model wire-free, hybrid, or fully wired?
It’s hybrid capable: boundary type supports virtual wire (EPOS®) and physical wire. Most professional installs choose EPOS® for flexibility, but wired setups are possible where needed.
Do I need an EPOS® reference station?
For wire-free EPOS® operation, yes — EPOS® RS5 Reference Station is required and is not included. If you plan a physical wire installation instead, we’ll confirm the best approach for your site.
What makes 535 AWD EPOS® different from non-AWD commercial mowers?
The all-wheel drive and articulated rear body are designed for steep slopes and rough terrain. It’s rated for up to 70% incline inside the installation.
Can it manage multiple zones and temporary no-mow areas?
Yes. You can create customised work areas with different schedules/heights/patterns, and set temporary stay-out zones for events, reseeding, or works.
How is it controlled day-to-day?
This model is built for professional use with Husqvarna Fleet Services™ (Bluetooth® + cellular connectivity), plus a pro interface on the mower for START/STOP and status indication. Firmware updates are delivered via FOTA.
