The T540 XP® Mark III is a top‑handle petrol chainsaw in the 40 cc class, built for professional arborists and tree‑care teams. It combines a compact, easy‑to‑manoeuvre body with a high power‑to‑weight ratio and the SP21G chain to deliver fast acceleration and reliable cutting performance for treetop work.
AutoTune 3.0 — no manual carburettor tweaks
AutoTune 3.0 continuously optimises the engine settings for changing conditions. That keeps startability and performance stable across temperature and altitude changes, so you spend less time adjusting and more time working.
Connectivity ready for diagnostics
The saw accepts Husqvarna’s Integrated Connectivity Device under the cover. Fit the optional module to log usage and diagnose engine behaviour remotely — useful for fleet management and servicing decisions.
X‑Precision cutting equipment
Equipped with an X‑Precision bar and SP21G chain, the package gives efficient, controlled cuts with good bore‑cutting properties and reduced kickback risk. The supplied 35 cm (14 in) set is suited to typical arborist tasks.

What bar and chain are supplied with the saw?
The saw is supplied with a 35 cm (14 in) X‑Precision bar and a 0.325 in mini SP21G chain fitted. Recommended bar length is 30–40 cm (12–16 in).
Do I need to adjust the carburettor after purchase?
No. AutoTune 3.0 keeps the engine optimised for startability and performance in varying conditions, so manual carburettor adjustments are typically unnecessary. Follow the operator manual for any service procedures.
