Top-handle 36V battery chainsaw designed for professional tree climbers. The T542i XP® G combines a centrifugal clutch for petrol-like response with an integrated heated handle for improved grip in cold, damp conditions. It ships as a rear-handle unit (no battery or charger) and includes Bluetooth connectivity for service and diagnostics.
Clutch for controlled starts
The centrifugal clutch gives kick-start energy at the start of each cut and reduces the risk of the chain pinching, so cuts are more predictable and easier to control.
Heated handle for cold weather work
Built-in handle heating keeps your right hand warmer and drier in winter conditions. It’s switchable from the keypad so you only use it when needed.
Adjustable performance and longer runtimes
savE™ mode lets you lower rpm to conserve battery and reduce noise for tasks that don’t demand full power, while full power remains available for heavy cuts.

Intuitive, accessible keypad
The accessible keypad helps you to stay in control; start and stop easily by pressing a button. A savE™-function allows for a choice between max runtime or max power, handle heat is conveniently switched on/off as needed. Charge status is always clearly visible when the battery is activated, the oil drop symbol lit up when chain oil is running low and there’s a reminder if the chain brake is in ’on’-position.
Rope attachment
A sturdy point for fastening a rope, making it easy to hoist the saw up into a tree.
Belt eyelet
Makes it quick and easy to connect the saw to the climbing harness.
Automatic shutdown
The product is automatically shut down after 3 minutes of being idle, which prolongs the life of the battery and also lower the risk for injuries when left unattended. With the chainbrake activated, the shutdown occurs after 30 minutes.

The oil indicator in the key pad lits up when refilling chain oil is needed
Power-Conserving savE™ Mode
SavE™ mode maximises the run time, reduces noise levels and preserves product battery life by lowering the rpm. Ideal for tasks that do not require full power. Just press the button to turn savE™ mode on and off.

Will this fit my machine?
Fitment can vary by model and deck size. Send us your mower model (and deck size if applicable) and we’ll confirm compatibility before you order.
Do I need any extra brackets or fitting kits?
Some accessories require a mounting kit or specific brackets depending on your machine. If you’re unsure, ask us and we’ll advise the correct setup.
Can you fit it for me?
Yes — if you’d like installation, let us know when ordering and we can arrange fitting (collection, workshop fit, or on-site depending on the product).
Does the T542i XP® G include a battery and charger?
No. The product is supplied as a rear-handle unit only. Batteries and chargers are sold separately. It uses Husqvarna 36V lithium-ion batteries from the interchangeable battery system.
What bar lengths can I fit to this saw?
The saw is supplied with a 35 cm (14 in) bar and is recommended for bars between 30–40 cm. Always fit bars and chains that match the specified pitch and chain type (.325″ mini, SP21G).
Can I use the saw in rain or wet conditions?
Yes. The machine meets IPX4 classification for rain resistance, so it is suitable for use in wet weather. As with all electrical tools, follow normal safety and maintenance routines to protect batteries and connections.
