Yes. The unit has an IPX5 protection rating and is built for outdoor use, but install it in a location that avoids obvious water pooling and provides reasonable access for maintenance.

How are firmware updates handled?

Firmware updates for the RS5 are performed through dealer service, so arrange updates via your authorised Husqvarna installer.
