Automower® 580L EPOS® is built for the precise mowing demands of golf courses and high-quality sports turf. It combines Husqvarna EPOS® (RTK-GNSS) to create virtual boundaries with selectable mowing patterns to improve visual finish — without installing perimeter wire.
The strong cutting motor and low-cut setup deliver consistent results even in intensive growth conditions. You can create different work areas and temporary stay-out zones in the app, helping you plan aeration and renovation work without risking boundary-wire downtime.

Installation and what you need
Wire-free EPOS® virtual boundaries (main installation)
- Define mowing areas, transport paths, customised work areas and stay-out zones in the EPOS® map.
- EPOS™ RS5 Reference Station is required (not included).
- Best performance requires a good view of the sky across the mowing area for stable satellite positioning.
- Ideal when you need to change zones, protect renovations, or manage multiple areas.
Dock by wire (charging-station help if needed)
- Allows installation of the charging station in areas with limited satellite coverage using a local wire.
- This is for docking guidance only — the mowing boundary is still EPOS® virtual wire.
If you share a simple course/site plan (zones, narrow passages, renovation areas, and where you’d like the charging station), we can advise on the cleanest EPOS® setup.

Is Automower® 580L EPOS® wire-free, hybrid or wired?
It’s fully wire-free for the mowing boundary (boundary type: Virtual wire). There is an optional Dock by wire feature for charging-station areas with low satellite coverage, but mowing boundaries remain EPOS® virtual.
Do I need the EPOS™ RS5 Reference Station?
Yes — this model requires an EPOS™ RS5 Reference Station for wire-free operation, and it is not included.
How low can it cut?
Cutting height is 10–50 mm with electric height adjustment, designed specifically for the precise mowing required on golf courses.
Can I set different zones and no-mow areas?
Yes. You can create customised work areas with their own schedules, cutting heights and patterns, plus temporary stay-out zones for renovations, events or construction work.
How is it controlled?
It’s controlled via Husqvarna Fleet Services (cellular + Bluetooth®), with professional remote handling and firmware updates via FOTA.
Is it easy to clean and maintain?
Yes — it’s IPX5 (hose-washable) and includes features like a quick-release cutting disc, 180° service position and an on-map maintenance point.
