The Husqvarna T525 is a lightweight professional top-handle petrol chainsaw engineered for pruning and trimming. It uses a low-emission 27 cm³ X-Torq® engine and is supplied with a 10 in (25 cm) sprocket-nose bar and SP21G chain. At 2.7 kg (excl. cutting equipment) it’s designed for tree-care work where manoeuvrability, easy starting and secure attachment to a harness matter.

Lightweight and compact

At 2.7 kg (without cutting equipment) and supplied with a 10 in bar, the T525 is easy to manoeuvre in the canopy and reduces operator fatigue on long pruning shifts.

Made for tree-care and climbing

Top-handle layout and a dedicated belt eyelet make it simple to connect the saw to a climbing harness while working at height.

Quick, reliable starting

SmartStart® design, easier cold starting via the air purge and an auto return stop switch minimise effort and delays when restarting on the job.

FAQs

Will this fit my machine?

Fitment can vary by model and deck size. Send us your mower model (and deck size if applicable) and we’ll confirm compatibility before you order.

Do I need any extra brackets or fitting kits?

Some accessories require a mounting kit or specific brackets depending on your machine. If you’re unsure, ask us and we’ll advise the correct setup.

Can you fit it for me?

Yes — if you’d like installation, let us know when ordering and we can arrange fitting (collection, workshop fit, or on-site depending on the product).

What bar lengths can I use with the T525?

The T525 is supplied with a 10 in (25 cm) bar and is recommended for use with bars from 20 cm to 30 cm (approximately 8 to 12 inches). Do not exceed the manufacturer’s recommended bar length for safe operation.

Is the saw suitable for use while climbing?

Yes. The top-handle design and the belt eyelet allow the saw to be connected to a climbing harness, which is standard practice for professional arboriculture when working at height.

How easy is it to start and maintain in the field?

Starting and basic maintenance are straightforward: SmartStart® and the air purge reduce starting effort; the auto return stop switch simplifies restarting; side chain tensioning and the quick-release air filter cover speed up adjustments and cleaning. Follow the operator manual for fuel, servicing intervals and detailed maintenance procedures.
