A compact, complete filing kit for keeping your chain correctly sharpened. The kit contains a file handle, gauges and three files to perform routine on‑site maintenance. Correct sharpening makes cutting easier and safer and helps prolong chain life.

Correct file size

Includes round files of 4.8 mm specifically matched to .325″ pitch chains (H25), so you preserve the intended cutter profile.

Consistent settings

The kit contains a combination/file gauge and depth gauge to set filing angle and depth uniformly across the chain, reducing uneven cutting and chatter.

Full maintenance capability

Two round files for the cutting teeth and one flat file for depth gauges let you perform both sharpening and depth‑gauge adjustments with a single kit.

FAQs

Will this fit my machine?

Fitment can vary by model and deck size. Send us your mower model (and deck size if applicable) and we’ll confirm compatibility before you order.

Do I need any extra brackets or fitting kits?

Some accessories require a mounting kit or specific brackets depending on your machine. If you’re unsure, ask us and we’ll advise the correct setup.

Can you fit it for me?

Yes — if you’d like installation, let us know when ordering and we can arrange fitting (collection, workshop fit, or on-site depending on the product).

Which chains is this kit compatible with?

The kit is intended for .325″ pitch chains and is compatible with H25 chain. Check the chain or guide bar marking to confirm pitch and chain type before use.

How do I use the kit to sharpen my chain?

Tension the chain correctly and stabilise the guide bar. Use the round file with the gauge to maintain the correct filing position and angle on each cutter; file away from you with even strokes. Use the flat file and depth gauge to check and correct the depth stops. Work methodically along the chain so each cutter is filed the same number of strokes.

How often should I sharpen my chain?

Sharpen when cutting performance drops — the saw produces fine dust instead of clean chips, cuts slowly or pulls to one side. Frequency depends on wood type and conditions; check the chain regularly during heavy use and sharpen as needed. If cutters or drive links are badly worn or damaged, replace the chain.
